Meet in public. Choose busy, well-lit public places (cafés, malls, parks with foot traffic) for first-time meetups.
Tell someone you trust. Share who you are meeting, where, when, and when you plan to return.
Stay in control. Arrange your own transportation. Do not rely on a stranger for a ride home on the first meeting.
Protect personal information. Do not share your home address, financial details, passwords, or ID documents.
Verify the invitation. Confirm time, location, and activity details before you go. Be cautious if plans change suddenly to a private location.
Trust your instincts. If you feel uncomfortable, leave immediately and seek help.
